day 27

Why are you doing this 30 day challenge?

This challenge is fun and a great way to help me blog on a daily basis. On a personal level, I was forced to think about certain things that I coined the term "off-limits." So far day 24 has been the most difficult and at the same time eye-opening. This 30 day challenge is surely a challenge. I love it.

February 22, 2011

day 26

What do you think about your friends?

How do I answer this question without sounding cliche? They've seen my ugly side, listened to my dreams, been patient with my complaints, encouraged me when I was down, prayed for me, etc. I wouldn't ask for anything else because I'm thankful for what I already have.

February 21, 2011

day 25

February 20, 2011

day 24

A letter to your parents.

Dear Mum and Dad,

You guys are so chill. I'm relieved that you guys don't use martial arts on me Bruce Lee style or refuse to give me dinner, all because I got a B in school. Sometimes I wish I could be more open with you two. I can't even bring myself to hug you guys or say "I love you", and that hurts. Although, I think it hurts you guys a hundred times more. It's a slow process but I'm trying to shed this skin of being an uptight daughter. Mum, every time I talk to you about boy problems, your instinct is always right. I might as well have you choose my husband. And Dad, the last time I remember bonding with you was in September. I was home from college for the weekend and you were teaching me how to make paper boats. I'm not sure if you know this but I had a lot of fun even though we didn't talk much. Mum and Dad, I love you guys both and hope that someday I'll be able to say it to you out loud.

February 19, 2011

day 23

Something you crave for a lot.

I never seem to get enough of Dunkin Donuts' Strawberry Coolattas. When everyone else is drinking coffee or hot chocolate in the winter, I'm delightfully sipping a Coolatta even though my hands are becoming numb from holding it.

February 18, 2011

day 22

What makes you different from everyone else?

No one has the same DNA, fingerprint, and purpose in life as I do. I am God's unique original.

February 17, 2011

day 21

A picture of something that makes you happy.

I LOVE sunflowers :) Today's weather especially reminded me of them. I can't wait to plant sunflowers in my garden again in spring!

February 16, 2011

day 20

Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future.

I'm too young to be thinking about marriage. It also appears that I'm the only one within my group of friends who never fantasized about my wedding. But since I have to answer, I (would like to) see myself with a man who will love God more than me.

February 15, 2011

day 19

Nicknames you have; why do you have them.

1. Jennytator
Jenny + dictator = Jennytator. Credits go to the Grace and Truth Youth Group. They thought this nickname fit me during my "reign" as president...

2. Batman
I got this nickname after playing a Korean concentration game during a summer retreat. Each player had to choose a character/food/etc. followed by a motion. Naturally, I chose Batman. My friend chose Robin. And now we refer to each other as Batman and Robin, partners in crime.

3. Money ghost (in Korean = don gwee shin)
Given by my lovely parents. I couldn't stop shopping at one point.

4. Ggomengee
This nickname is supposed to let me know, as if I already didn't, that I'm short and small. Thank you, Jiman.

5. Jum doo keh
I have two tiny moles next to each other on my face. I don't know any other reason I can give as to how I got this nickname.

February 14, 2011

February 10, 2011

day 13

A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

I hate to be the party pooper but no one has hurt me recently. That doesn't rule out the fact that I may have hurt someone...

February 9, 2011

day 12

How you found out about Blogger and why you made one.

I guess using Facebook made me miss reading worthwhile entries rather than seeing statuses, uploaded photos, and comments pop up in my newsfeed. In short, I felt foolish. AND I began to feel like a stalker. So I made a Blogger. It just seems more personal, whereas Facebook profiles are generic. I still use Facebook for networking but my Blogger is where I write about my thoughts and happenings in my life (sometimes with the help of my photos).

February 8, 2011

Something you’re proud of in the past few days.

I've been studying for my classes everyday. Good bye cramming and all-nighters!

February 5, 2011

day 08

Short term goals for this month and why.

1. Cut down drinking soda to once a week (at most)
I've been getting take out lunch and dinner almost everyday. Unfortunately, the food is better with coke than water...BUT I'd rather keep my teeth cavity-free.

2. Finish reading Deuteronomy and Joshua
This is my first time reading the Old Testament with the intention of wanting to get a good understanding of the story of the Israelites.

3. Stop complaining about the cold
Complaining, at best, makes the situation worse. Plus spring is just around the corner! FINALLY.

February 4, 2011

day 07

A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you.

dad, mum, brother :)

February 3, 2011

day 06

Favorite super hero and why.

According to the World English Dictionary, a superhero is "a character with superhuman abilities or magical powers, wearing a distinctive costume, and fighting against evil." My favorite super hero is God and as far as I can tell, God doesn't need to wear a costume to show Satan who's in charge. This same God didn't abandon me but sent Jesus so that earth can be the nearest I come to hell.

February 2, 2011

day 05

A picture of somewhere you’ve been to.

Lake George, NY

February 1, 2011

day 04

A habit that you wish you didn’t have.

Normally I'm good at organizing things but I seem to be a mess when it comes to putting away my clothes on the closet shelf. Seeing that I can barely reach it (unless I'm on my tippy toes), I become lazy and throw my clothes. It's too much of a hassle to get a chair...although, I'm wasting more time from cleaning my closet much too frequently because I'm bothered by the fact that it looks it was hit by a tornado.

January 31, 2011

day 03

A picture of you and your friends.

January 30, 2011

day 02

The meaning behind your Blogger name.

There isn't a cool story behind my blogger name. I simply fused my Korean name "Euna" with the word "bug", which reminds me of gardening. Something I love to do in the summer although I hate bugs :)

January 29, 2011
